Bob Bates fronts his own band the Bob Bates Band and teaches music for a living.  He has played the Grand Ole Opry many times with Charlie Louvin.  He is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music and is proficient in all forms of music.  He sings lead and harmony parts and plays a number of musical instruments including guitar, fiddle, mandolin, bass and banjo.
